Douriez Property - Upstairs Property
In the photos below, we are trying to show you how our house in Douriez, 7 Valleys, near Hesdin has been renovated. The house was originally built in the early 1980's, sadly for us, the decoration matched the era. Since we purchased the house in 2006, we have decorated all of upstairs to a high standard.

| The new kitchen is now about 5 times bigger than the original kitchen. It was fitted with all the gadgets, such as dish washer, oven, hob microwave, coffee machine and of course the BEER FRIDGE! | The old kitchen before we knocked walls down. All you can see is all there was, (except for a single hob with two rings). For a gastronomic nation, I was somewhat surprised! |
| Bedroom 2 has been both papered and painted. The room has incredible views over the Authie valley. | Bedroom 2 as it was before. We are not sure where they managed to get their industrial glue from, (it certainly felt like that when we stripped it all off). I think it was worth the hard work! |

| Bedroom 3 not shown to its best here, but you can get an idea of the view of the lake and the river Authie. | Sorry, I cant find a picture. All I can say is that the room was wall papered with a really bad wallpaper, wallpaper with countryside scenes! |
| The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open plan, so there is a great social atmosphere in the upstairs apartment. We find it superb for socialising. | The original living room with a terrible wallpaper! this has been stripped off, painted and some neutral paints and pictures have been added to brighten up the place and make it feel more 'homely'. |
